Interview with Ines de la Fressange. French muse, model, mother, fashion designer, businesswoman... Inès de la Fressange is for sure the epitome of French elegance and does not cease to surprise us. We are very happy to share with you Ines de la Fressange Paris collection but also Ines' fashion tips and her Parisian inspiration to create such an iconic style.
What is the spirit of your brand?
The idea is to help women to find the right items to look sophisticated & casual together, to feel good at work and during weekends, find solutions to be trendy without being a fashion victim.

How do you define the Parisian woman and the Parisian style?
A woman who dress-up for herself because she knows that if she feels well she will be seductive. It’s a mix between classic & rock with no prejudices, mainly it’s a spirit.
Can you name us an Iconic "Parisienne"?
It could be a British person because « parisienne » means a state of mind more than a place where you are born. So, for instance, Jane Birkin: she is "smily", looks comfortable, has a timeless style. Same for her daughters.
How would you define your mood board to get your inspiration?
Listen I’m selfish and down to earth (laughs)I mean I imagine things I would like to wear in all kind of situations that I can’t find anywhere else. I think working with honesty and sincerity is a clue for success.

What is your must-have accessory?

Where is your secret place in Paris?
So many people asked me this question so I wrote two guides giving addresses but it’s usually shops, museums, restaurants and hotels. However, I love the gardens of Palais Royal, it’s a historical place nearly unchanged since XVIIIth century, very much preserved and not that famous. People always talk about the Eiffel tower but there are so many amazing spots in Paris like Saint-Germain des Près, le Marais, la Bastille...
Ok, one address? Marie-Hélène de Taillac, 8 rue de Tournon: My favourite pieces of jewellery in the world!
